Teaching Middle School Science

I am taking a class through Mesa State College.  I like to take classes, it make me a better teacher, it is good to be reminded about what being a student feels like and it move me up the pay scale.  Anyway several of my classmates and I are discussing using blogs in class.  I have been using this site for a while so I have some insight in to the pitfalls of edublogging.  I really like my host and I think I have this down.  This means I need to try something new.  The next frontier I waqnt to try is having students blog.  I am going to make this happen this year!  I do not see (except in nightmares) having 152 8th graders blog, however I hope to have those few who are interested, dare I say passionate, trial the concept with me.  What do you say?
